And again, do not be ashamed of your noodle arms – if you want to train, no one here will tell you, you can’t. Finally, Stronger classes are about developing strength and getting lean. But don’t be intimidated by the “push-yourself” attitude, the reassuring coaches will make you feel encouraged and safe even if you’ve never stepped into a gym in your life. HTC StudiosĪthletic classes focus on combining cardio with strength-conditioning, such as HIIT exercises or boxing, which improves cardiovascular fitness. With all equipment sponsored by Lulu-Lemon, not only is the space perfect to work out the body and mind, but great for a candid Instagram pic. The Rejuvenate studio is a zen space that hosts what I call ‘relaxing’ exercise, like yoga, forms of Pilates, and the very intriguing and oddly freeing ‘Animal Flow’ class. I was offered to attend a ‘Party on a Bike’ class and was really surprised by how good it made me feel as someone who doesn’t work out a lot I was beyond-pleasantly surprised by how motivated I felt after. ![]() The spinning studio is really something to behold, fitted with colour-changing LED lights, state of the art spinning-bikes, a full cinematic projector screen and the most enthusiastic trainers you could imagine. In terms of physical training the space is organised into four categories of fitness, each with its own appropriately designed studio. She also mentioned the Shreadheads in an appearance on QVC this past weekend.Īnd, to top it all off, she’s really nice in person.Society has generally accepted that having a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body, and yet many exercise companies still neglect the impact that exercising one’s mental side can have on training the physical. Jillian mentioned Shredheads and ME! in a tweet after the event. Once I get my free Wii copy (again, lucky me!) which is released on October 6th, I will be alternating this workout with the 30 Day Shred and running on the treadmill. That workout targeted my inner things, hamstrings and glutes differently than the 30 Day Shred workout or running has. I was also able to try out the Wii workout, which was fun (set on a Pacific Island because Jillian loves Lost) and for the next several days I could not walk. Of course, I harassed Jillian as soon as she arrived, telling her I was a Shreadhead and forcing her to take a photo with me. I was all over that event especially since Jillian WOULD BE THERE demoing the new product. So, lucky me when I got an exclusive look at the new Jillian Michaels Wii workout, Fitness Ultimatum 2010. My friend, Lindsay, saw results right away as well. I saw improved definition in my arms after two (2!) workouts. But this workout? Effective and efficient - it’s only 20 minutes long and all you need are the DVD and a pair of light weights (I use a 3 pound version of these weights). I have never been the DVD-workout type, much preferring to go to a gym. Convinced by the Twitter buzz and by the “Shredhead” support groups popping up online, I took the 30 Day Shred plunge. I first heard of Jillian when she became one of the stars of the huge TV hit, “The Biggest Loser.” Then I started seeing Twitter chatter about Jillian’s 30 Day Shred workout. ![]() So getting to meet her in person - and preview her new workout for the Wii, Fitness Ultimatum 2010 - was a dream come true for me. We have mad love for Jillian Michaels on this part of the Internet.
